The Children's Place + Facebook= BFF UPDATE

The Children's Place has to be my all-time FAVORITE store for scoring the best deals on kiddo clothes. I have literally walked out of our local TCP Outlet with heaping bags of merchandise for under $100. What could be better than supercheap kids clothes? Ummm...supercheap kids clothes that actually LAST! Some of my oldest son's TCP items were actually handed down to him from a family friend and still look brand new when the twins wear them. They wash perfectly, wear amazingly, and definitely fit into the savvy shopper budget!
Right now, if you become a fan of The Children's Place on Facebook you can score a 15% off any regular priced item coupon (in-store only). Simply click on the "Shop" tab and it will be on the bottom right. Also, it appears as though TCP is hosting some sort of $50 giftcard giveaway for their friendly FB fans. No details other than the name of one lucky reader have been released.

Also, the 40% off NOW 50% OFF Fall Sale has begun INCLUDING Halloween costumes!

Savvy Shopper Tip-Be Best Friends with BOGO

BOGOs are a savvy shoppers best friend. BOGO is shorthand for Buy One Get One*. Usually, this means the item is at the lowest price in the cycle unless it is something destined for clearance. The best part (besides being at the lowest price you'll find it!) is that most retailers allow you to use a coupon for both items you are purchasing. This basically DOUBLES the value of ANY coupon you use.

For example, this week at Giant Eagle (10/15-10/21/09):

Buy 2 Nature's Bounty Vitamins BOGO @ $9.99**
-2 $2/1 Multivitam Printable $4.00
(click on the aqua bar above to find and print!)
The Real Deal: $5.99 or only $2.98/bottle!

*It generally means Buy One Get One Free although I have seen many sales featuring BOGO 50% off or similar percentages off so be sure to read the ad carefully.

**Prices vary by product...there are products you can get FREE using this deal!

WOW! Nature's Pride Bread at Giant Eagle

I was so excited last night to discover $0.55 peelies (you know, those little stick on coupons that your cashier always forgets to peel off your product at checkout) on my favorite Nature's Pride Multigrain bread. I feel great feeding my boys their all natural product (no trans fats, no artificial ANYTHING, and no high fructose corn syrup) and my family loves eating it! Delicious chewy texture with just the right amount of seeds and flakes to add some extra flavor to our sandwiches. Best of all the loaves were on sale 2$5!

2 loaves Multigrain bread $5.00
-2 $0.55 (doubled to $1.10 each) $2.30
The Real Deal: Only $1.15/loaf! (This regularly retails for $3.98/loaf I believe)
